Homemade Ruffled Peasant Top
![]() |
| Alabama Chanin Ruffle Peasant Top remake |
Uses a raglan top cutting template as a base.
Then all the width dimensions are 6x to create the ruffle on this single layer lightweight jersey.
Extra strip is attached at the outside of the garment a little bit under the neckline using straight stitch.
Feels like a big barrel you're sewing around - it's so big when you make it.
Attach cotton jersey rope to pull neckline tight.
Of course this top can be hung a lot nicer - I was lazy and didn't try. It's hanging on the back of a toilet door with great sunlight.
