Alabama Chanin drawstring skirt design knock off turned to dress (never added the drawstring, rather a waistband that was approx correct for my waist). Would only wear this with a black top, pulled this singlet out of my move-on stash. Saw that it might as well be one piece forever since they looked better together. Pinned them together while wearing, chalked the waistline on, took them off and used black thread to sew together using stretchy stitch (herringbone to match with the rest of the garment). Black totally hides details, even on other beautiful garments... you lose the look of the pleats, the designed seam lines, and also your wobbly less flattering bumps and lumps. Win-win in this situation where you can't see the join details unless you really try to look.
